DRINK COFFEE DO STUFF is Lake Tahoe’s specialty coffee roaster built with the belief that extraordinary coffee leads to an extraordinary life. The mantra began in the Swiss Alps in 2012 during founder Nick Visconti’s pro snowboard days, and continues today at our Lake Tahoe headquarters and coffee shops. TRUCKEE ROASTERY

Warehouse Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

The Warehouse Manager oversees all aspects of our roasting warehouse and e-commerce programs. Leading and working with a small team, you would be primarily responsible for fulfilling our wholesale and e-commerce programs from start to finish each weekday, every week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Organize, pack, ship and deliver wholesale orders weekly
  • Oversee and manage e-commerce program on a daily basis including preparing, packing and shipping orders efficiently, paying close attention to detail
  • Efficiently labeling, filling and sealing bags of coffee
  • Manage all sales orders from beginning to end: receive orders from our e-commerce management system, generate labels, and prepare and ship packages with courier services
  • Analyze and project coffee quantity and supply needs
  • Receive new supply shipments
  • Count, inspect and organize packaging and shipping materials, paying close attention to detail
  • Lead inventory counts
  • Identify and implement best practices that can improve overall efficiency and effectiveness of warehouse
  • Control warehouse organization and cleanliness
  • Perform other assigned duties

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 2-3 years previous experience in warehouse production, distribution centers and/or e-commerce environment
  • Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills are a must
  • Leadership skills and experience in managing others
  • Excellent problem-solving with a strong customer service orientation
  • General computer experience including email, printers, and experience with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Experience with ShipStation, Shopify or other comparable e-commerce platforms
  • Ability to work on your own effectively, take direction and get the job done on a daily and weekly basis
  • Occasionally you will be asked to move 150 lb coffee sacks around the roastery with teammates' help
  • Personal hygiene must be at a high level working in a food manufacturing facility
  • Clean driving record
  • Ownership over your job and responsibilities — when it comes to our warehouse, the buck stops with you!
  • Live in Truckee/Tahoe basin or willing to commute from Reno/Carson Valleys

Production Associate

POSITION SUMMARY

Production Associates assist with all warehouse and e-commerce distribution duties from beginning to end. Working within a small team, the right candidate will be primarily responsible for pulling e-commerce orders from ShipStation and other drop-ship platforms, and preparing products including packaging coffee, picking merchandise and preparing and packing them for shipment. This person is responsible for receiving and/or ensuring the follow-through for orders received via our e-commerce management system. We are looking for two organized and dependable Warehouse Associates.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Efficiently labeling, filling and sealing bags of coffee
  • Preparing, packing and shipping orders efficiently, paying close attention to detail
  • Assist with all sales orders from beginning to end: receive orders from our e-commerce management system, generate labels, and prepare and ship packages with courier services
  • Receive new supply shipments
  • Count, inspect and organize packaging and shipping materials paying attention to detail
  • Project roast quantity needs
  • Participate in inventory counts
  • Identify and implement best practices that can improve overall efficiency and effectiveness of warehouse
  • Maintain general housekeeping of the warehouse and work stations
  • Perform other assigned duties

  • Previous experience in, warehouse production, distribution centers or e-commerce environment
  • Ability to lift and move up to 30 lbs
  • Personal hygiene must be at a high level working in a food manufacturing facility

TRUCKEE & INCLINE VILLAGE COFFEE SHOPS

Retail General Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

Our General Manager is solely responsible for managing DRINK COFFEE DO STUFF retail locations. With two coffee shops in Truckee and Incline Village as well as the Truckee roastery, our GM works with a team of store leads and our company Coffee Manager to organize, orchestrate and oversee all retail operations and employees while contributing to the vision of the company’s future retail footprint. With a strong emphasis on data-based decisions and finance handling, this position will develop and execute strategy, protocol and policies that elevate our in-store coffee experience, customer service, employee retention and profitability. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Hiring, managing, and scheduling employees
  • Implementing retail protocol, policies, and profitability strategies
  • Developing event and PR opportunities
  • Working with oversight agencies on operating permits, etc.
  • Training new employees alongside Coffee Manager
  • Creating seasonal beverage and food menus
  • Running point on all employee and customer service incidents
  • Work to meet sales goals, introduce new sales strategies and analyze KPIs
  • Analyzing financial data
  • Evaluate employee performance
  • Order and merchandise coffee, apparel, retail and distributor products and supplies
  • Find solutions for all non-emergency situations
  • Manage bank deposits and employee tips
  • Work with store leads to keep stores tidy, organized and clean
  • Ensure food safety regulations
  • Retail shopping for coffee shop ingredients
  • Delegate tasks when and where appropriate
  • Lead bi-weekly manager meetings and quarterly all-staff meetings
  • Generate reports and other administrative documents associated with coffee shop management
  • Keep the ship afloat!

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 1 year retail management; coffee and food service preferred
  • Barista experience preferred, but not required
  • Highly organized and ambitious
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • CPU and IOS literate
  • Understanding of business functions
  • Ability to create and execute goals
  • Live in Truckee/Tahoe basin or willing to commute from Reno/Carson Valleys

Part-Time Barista

POSITION SUMMARY

Our Baristas keep the engine running! We are looking for several part-time coffee enthusiasts to join our Incline Village and Truckee teams. Specialty coffee experience not required (if you have it, awesome!) but we do like to see strong customer service experience — plus, you must be into drinking coffee and doing rad stuff. Tons of opportunity to grow within a fast-growing company!

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • POS and taking orders
  • Making coffee and food items on the menu
  • Pouring beautiful coffee drinks (we will train you on latte art)
  • Stocking and prep
  • Opening, closing and mid-shift tasks
  • Multitasking during busy days
  • Friendly and engaging with customers — remembering names and drink orders, giving outdoor activity recommendations
